Penguin Class – Beginner Level 2
This class is for English-speaking children. Priority is given to English-speaking participants.
The Penguin class is designed for children aged 5 and up who are already comfortable in the water, can jump in from the poolside, and submerge their head underwater.
Prerequisites:
Children should already be water-acclimated and meet the skill level described in the Crab class.
Goals:
By the end of the season, the goal is for each swimmer to have developed the four basic swimming skills: transition between positions, breathing control, balance, and propulsion. Swimmers should be able to move independently in the water without flotation devices, balance on their own, and feel comfortable navigating both above and below the surface.
Most lessons focus on water adaptation through games and playful exercises. We also continue working on basic front crawl and backstroke techniques.
We treat the water as our playground, and through play, children learn and improve these essential skills.
Class times:
Changing: 18:00 – 18:10
