Crab Group – Beginners' Swimming Class (For English-Speaking Children Only)
This class is for English-speaking children. Priority is given to English-speaking participants.
This is an entry-level class for new members. In this group, children become comfortable in and around water through play. The Crab Group is for children aged 4+ and those who are new to the water and need time to get used to it.
Prerequisites: None
Objectives:
By the end of the season, the goal is for each swimmer to feel safe and independent in the water. This includes being able to enter and exit the pool confidently, stay safely in shallow water, and be comfortable briefly going under the surface. Swimmers will also learn to float with ease, start learning basic front crawl and backstroke, and move over short distances - possibly with support from equipment.
We treat the water as our playground, and through play-based activities, children gradually develop these important skills.
